During our annual participation in the “Festival of the Forest and Hunting” in Hummelshain, we had a lot of requests for a guided tour over and around the Walpersberg.
One of these requests for a guided tour took place on Saturday, 19 October. A group of family members from Grosskochberg met with us at the Kahla town Museum. After a longer visit to our thematic exhibition on the history of the “REIMAHG” and many questions, we continued to the Walpersberg in bright weather. During the excursion over and around the mountain, we explained all the facts, stories, descriptions, plans and pictures with knowledge and background information, as well as everything worth knowing about the mountain, the factory and the people on the basis of partly unknown, not yet published historical photographs.
We especially enjoyed the 3 dogs, the little shy one and the two Eurasian bundles of energy, one of which had her own food on her back.
The day ended at 5:00 pm with a group photograph and a warm farewell. A long, 7-hour day was over. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our participants again and for the great atmosphere.
