Commemoration at Kahla Cemetery, 8 April 2025
In close cooperation with the parish of Kahla, under the direction of Pastor Wedding, two information boards were installed at the Kahla cemetery on April 8.
A plaque at the entrance to the cemetery indicates that there is a war cemetery here. The design was analogous to the marking of German war graves by the Volksbund/War Graves Commission, which is valid in Europe.
The second was attached to the memorial stone for the fallen from the 1st and 2nd World Wars. Visitors can use a QR code to find out which Kahla residents died in the war. Another project concerns the research for each individual name in order to back it up with photos and other information.
