We were asked by the Hummelshain Castle Association; led by Rainer Hohberg to give a lecture on the history of the former company hospital in the Neues Schloss, 1944/45.
As an association, we have been working with him and the TIM association for a long time.
So we were very happy about the invitation that Patrick should speak as a speaker at the 95th lecture in the tea house. The lecture was preceded by long research, which is summarized in a book documenting this piece of contemporary history for the first time.
The tea house was fully booked, there was no place left and for more than 2 hours the audience followed Patrick’s explanations and his multi-media presentation.
The response was very positive and afterwards there were many interesting conversations over a delicious local Fettbrot with cucumber and wine.
Since the book is still in print, in a limited edition, the guests were able to register in advance for the purchase of the “History of the Company and DP Hospital”.
The entrance fee for the lecture was donated to the Schlossverein for its great work to preserve the building.
We would like to thank Rainer and his team again for the invitation and the very pleasant Sunday afternoon.
